Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how DocInterpreter ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our website at docinterpreter.com and the related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers via our authentication provider (Clerk).

Billing information. Payment details are processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain a Stripe customer identifier and subscription metadata only.

Uploaded documents. Files you upload for extraction (PDFs and images) are stored temporarily on encrypted AWS S3 storage so they can be processed by our AI extraction pipeline.

Usage analytics. We use Ahrefs Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Service. This collects aggregated and anonymized data such as page visits, referrers and approximate location.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
  • To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Document Handling and Retention

Uploaded documents are processed by Microsoft Azure AI Vision for OCR and structure analysis. We do not use your documents to train models. Documents are retained on encrypted storage only as long as needed to deliver the extraction results to you, and are then scheduled for deletion.

4. Sharing of Information

We share information only with the third-party processors required to run the Service:

  • Clerk — authentication and identity.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — secure file storage.
  • Microsoft Azure AI — document analysis and OCR.
  • Ahrefs — anonymized site analytics.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including HTTPS in transit and encryption at rest — to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, port or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@docinterpreter.com.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and basic site analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the Service.
